Excuse the morbid headline, but I think it's true.
We don't think about the heavy moments in life enough.
I am not saying that we should be stuck in the past.
I am saying we should always remember the moments that define us.
I remember the day when my dad died. It was the ultimate, "Life is truly too short and I can just die tomorrow myself" moment.
It was powerful. It made me want to only do shit I love in life. It made me want to never hang out with toxic people again.
Yet, 16 years later, here I am.
Mistakes were made.
Time was wasted.
I find myself getting pissed off with little things that are unimportant. I find myself surrounded by idiots from time to time.
Things like these make you forget your defining moments in life.
Truly, life is too short to not remember who you are.
For whatever hard moments in life you had to go through, remember them, for they'll define you and shape you to become the person you're meant to be.
Let go, work hard, move on, but never forget.
